Band Line Up 2016

The term “folk metal” often evokes images of battle hymns, costumes and war paint - but Isarnos are not a traditional “folk metal” band. Heavy riffs and harsh vocals, combined with the esoteric sounds of traditional melodies and instruments is all you need to know.

With a solid backbone of thrash and melodic death metal, Isarnos blend in traditional folk instruments to provide the melody and harmony behind their songs. Using almost entirely harsh vocals and with a seriously technical drummer, Isarnos stand strong as a metal band and stand out due to the quality and musicianship of their instrumentalists.

There are no words to describe how we feel about this opportunity! Folk music has existed for centuries to bring people together just as the Metal community does in more modern times. 

We would never have thought that as a relatively new folk metal band, we would have the opportunity to showcase at such a prestigious event as Bloodstock Festival. 

We genuinely cannot wait to hit the Jagermeister stage and bring Folk Metal to Bloodstock 2016.
