Bloodstock Reveals Unsigned Line Up So Far

We've just about pulled together all the bands for the Bloodstock Unsigned Stage and the Lava Stage - with some competitions nearing completition - (gigs in Kent and Essex this weekend) and a couple of media based comps still to advise, we thought we'd give you a sneak preview of who's been confirmed already. Full press releases to come and slot times/ days/ stages to be advised over the next few days so check back into the website for updates. Lee and I dovetail the sets to ensure that any clash with similar type bands on other stages is kept to a minimum - this maintains higher attendance for each performance - which is what every band and fan want. A very limited number of Bloodstock day tickets went on sale on 2nd July due to huge demand from you guys … and we are over the moon to confirm that our media partners ‘Metal Hammer’ who had a allocation of 400 tickets for their dedicated readers – have now SOLD OUT. The overall allocation of day tickets we put on sale through the Bloodstock store are being purchased at record speed….. and we don’t expect to have any left at this rate by middle of July. So please don’t shout that we told you so…. catch yourself a bargain before they all go. Day tickets are priced at just £45. Full weekend tickets with camping are just £85. Read more

Bloodstock's Webmaster has come out of his darkened room after forgoing the need to eat, sleep and more interesting pastimes as he has slaved through and cross referenced EVERY vote cast in the Metal 2 The Masses competition. What would have taken a mere mortal until the 2012 Olympics to establish, our Virtual Voting Vanquisher has removed all the dodgy ones and at last can publish the results. As there are always more losers than winners, this has been a thankless task (but thanks anyway) and for those of you who feel tired, emotional or aggrieved at the outcome...............there's always 2009. Applications now closed. The Bloodstock Unsigned Stage (in the Scuzz Underground Marquee) and Lava Stage (in the GH3 Marquee) have received record amounts of the finest unsigned and underground bands - we could have done Festivals every week with the quality and quantity you guys sent us! We just kept extending the deadline to make sure we definitely got the best metal out there. And this year....we sure have. Any submissions from here on in will only be considered for 2009 and any initiatives we may have between Festivals. We've got amazing line ups for both stages - featuring bands, djs, metal karaoke, Guitar Hero 3 competition and yep, lots more. So just keep checking out the site for regular updates.
