In Flames To Support Iron Maiden On European Tour

In Flames who are to Headline this years Bloodstock Open Air metal festival have been confirmed to be the opening act for Iron Maidens up coming European tour. In Flames will be opening for Iron Maiden on 6th 17th June 2007 in Germany. In Flames have also just been nominated for a Metal Hammer Golden gods award for “ Best Live Band “ the Metal Hammer awards will be held in London in June.

Swedish metallers IN FLAMES have lined up the following dates:

June 08 - Ludwigshafen, Germany @ Sudweststadion (w/ IRON MAIDEN)
June 16 - Burgenland, Austria @ Pannonia Fields II (Nova Rock)
June 17 - Duisberg, Germany @ MSV Stadium (w/ IRON MAIDEN)
July 07 - Turku, Finland @ Ruisrock
July 13 - Arvika, Sweden @ Arvika Festival
Aug. 04 - Wacken, Germany @ Wacken Open Air
Aug. 18 - Derbyshire, England @ Catton Hall - Bloodstock Festival

IN FLAMES was honored with the Swedish "Grammis" award in the "Best Hard Rock" category during a ceremony that was held on January 30 at Hovet in Stockholm. A total of five bands were nominated for their most recent releases, all of which came out during 2006. A video clip of IN FLAMES performing the song "Come Clarity" on the Swedish music awards show "Rockbjörnen" on January 11 in Stockholm, Sweden has been posted below courtesy of youtube.com .

The band's lineup for the performance included guitarists Björn Gelotte and Jesper Strömblad, who were both absent from the group's most recent U.S. tour.
