    With 2015’s festival season officially underway, BLOODSTOCK still has plenty to reveal about the summer’s premiere metal weekender. Ten more bands, to start with… Joining the Sophie Lancaster Stage line-up on Friday are MESSIAH’S KISS (, featuring former session musicians for Tony Iommi and Saxon. Saturday sees the addition of old school thrashers ANNIHILATED(, as well as death metal band AGELESS OBLIVION Digital tech metal act THE IZUNA DROP (, featuring Jamie from UK Subs, are all set to perform on Sunday, alongside female-fronted, classic doomsters ALUNAH ( BLOODSTOCK is also pleased to announce five bands for the Jagermeister Stage. Former Status Quo support band KNOCK OUT KAINE( bring their brand of ballsy rock ‘n’ roll to the Jager stage on Saturday. Inspired by heavy metal Gods of the late 70's/early 80's such as Budgie, Tank, Venom, and Motorhead, BLIND HAZE( steamroll in on Sunday, joined by Irish progressive trio SNOWBLIND ( - definitely one to see if you like your time changes and musical curveballs!     BLOODSTOCK’s 2015 ‘Metal 2 The Masses’ tour is ready to kick off! The festival has a long standing reputation for supporting grass roots metal and their annual M2TM programme is at the forefront of that. Over the past few months, local venues all over the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia have been holding a series of heats. Hundreds of unsigned or self-released bands have taken part, each one hoping to land a slot in their local final, where ultimately the BLOODSTOCK panel choose the best from each event to win a slot on the Hobgoblin-sponsored New Blood stage at Catton Park in August! Those finals are about to begin! 2015 has been M2TM’s biggest programme to date, with 22 venues participating. The brand new BLOODSTOCK van will be ferrying our heavy metal judges round the country, there’ll be festival weekend tickets to win at each final, plus plenty of other goodies, so come down to one of the finals listed below and show your support! It’s not just UK and Irish acts that BLOODSTOCK gives opportunities to, as bands from across the world can also enter for a slot on the Hobgoblin New Blood stage by uploading a video to Winners will be chosen by the BLOODSTOCK panel from submitted videos. The first batch of lucky bands have been chosen (there’ll be more, so don’t worry if you’ve not uploaded yet). Friday’s bill will include the Cotswold-based modern metal outfit MUTAGENOCIDE, Canadian progsters DIATESSARON and Welsh brutal groove metallers, PISS VIPER. Saturday’s bill includes CODEX ALIMENTARIUS’ groove/thrash/classical infusion, progressive tech metallers AKARUSA YAMI and Brit post-proggers, SUMER.   • BLOODSTOCK announce seven more bands for Sophie Stage

    BLOODSTOCK is excited to announce seven more of metal’s finest for the UK’s heaviest weekender, including a clutch of bands from the farthest flung corners of the globe. Friday’s line up will now include extreme prog metal Aussies, NE OBLIVISCARIS for their long awaited debut on UK soil. The band proclaim, “UK, here we come! 2015 is the year we are finally going to reach your shores and we couldn’t be more excited to announce that it will be as part of the enormous BLOODSTOCK festival. We’re looking forward to playing alongside many of the best and biggest heavy acts from across the world!” Get a taste for them in this clip from their Australian tour in November . . Also joining Friday’s fray are the London based group SILAS, who describe themselves as a “fusion of genres”. Curious? Head over to the official website at Saturday’s bill sees two bands who’ve jetted in from Indonesia, a hotbed of metal and one of the planet’s most burgeoning heavy music scenes. BURGERKILL and JASAD are two of the country’s biggest metal acts, even counting the country’s metal-loving prime minister, Joko Widodo among their fans.
