Capturing the spirit of rebellion, the multi-million selling New Yorkers enjoyed a hugely successful career, adored by metal fans and feared by the “moral right”, before disbanding in the mid-80’s. Re-uniting in 2001 to headline the NEW YORK STEEL benefit concert in the wake of the Sept 11th attacks, the band made their first steps towards returning to the stage after fourteen years, delighting fans across the world. Now BLOODSTOCK is honoured to have Dee Snider, Jay Jay French, Eddie "Fingers" Ojeda, A. J. Pero, and Mark "The Animal" Mendoza for their first UK outdoor festival performance since 1983’s MONSTERS OF ROCK. Never failing to deliver anything short of a spectacular live set, the foundations of Catton Hall are set to shake as classics such as “I Wanna Rock”, “Leader Of The Pack”, “Burn In Hell” and “We’re Not Gonna Take It” have all in attendance singing their hearts out. Regards Bloodstock Team Tuesday, February 16. 2010EDGUY RETURN TO BLOODSTOCK FOR EXCLUSIVE FESTIVAL PERFORMANCE German power-metallers EDGUY also make a welcome return to the BLOODSTOCK stage, which the band are excited about gracing again. Charismatic frontman/metallic maniac TOBIAS SAMMET is especially looking forward to returning to the UK for EDGUY’s only UK Festival appearance:“We've played Bloodstock twice and I am more than happy to be part of the 10th anniversary edition of the festival once more. I love playing England because I feel they understand us so well. I mean, despite the accent. I seriously love: Magnum, Robin Hood, tea, Def Leppard, John Wayne, I love England. I love the Indian cuisine, I admire mostly British bands, I love to hear proper English, and who am I to tell you are driving on the wrong side of the streets?” Regards Bloodstock team Tuesday, February 16. 2010ENSIFERUM CONFIRMED FOR BLOODSTOCK 2010![]() ENSIFERUM Finnish warriors ENSIFERUM bring the battle back to BLOODSTOCK in 2010 making a welcome return to the main stage. These heroic Viking Metallers are no strangers to BOA, having laid waste to the stage in 2006. With four albums worth of aural artillery, these Finns are well-equipped to rally the metal warriors in attendance, ensuring victory at BOA’s Decennial celebration, at this exclusive festival appearance. Regards Bloodstock Team Wednesday, February 10. 2010SECURE YOUR VALUABLES IN THE BLOODSTOCK ‘CLOAKROOM’ Due to the great success of the Cloakroom service introduced for the first time last year, we are bringing this service back for 2010. Leaving anything of value in your tent at any festival is always a bit of a risky business as unfortunately thefts can occur or your wallet or phone could just fall out of your pocket during a full on session in the mosh pit. We strongly recommend that if you bring anything of value with you this year then take advantage of purchasing a CLOAKROOM TICKET for added security and peace of mind that your belongings will be safe and secure for the entire weekend. We had plenty of mobile phones, wallets and car keys handed in to us last year that people had simply found lying on the ground. Whilst we managed to reunite some of these lost items, there were plenty that still remained unclaimed. You can store bags, coats and valuables safely in the Bloodstock CLOAKROOM all weekend from Thursday – Monday as its manned 24 hours a day. However, we don’t have the room to offer this service to everyone in attendance so if you want to purchase your ticket in advance to be sure you have use of this facility then go to the Bloodstock shop as tickets are on sale now. When you get to the festival you can exchange your ticket from the cloakroom for a wristband so you don’t have the worry about losing the cloakroom ticket. Tickets in advance are £15 for 5 days from 12 midday Thursday to 10am Monday morning or £5 per day if purchased at the festival. Regards Bloodstock Team Tuesday, February 9. 2010

SWEDISH Death Metal Supergroup BLOODBATH have confirmed their first ever UK appearance at BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR’s 10th ANNIVERSARY Festival in Derbyshire this summer. The band, which features KATATONIA guitarist Anders ´Blakkheim´ Nystrom and vocalist Jonas Renske, OPETH’s Mikael Akerfeldt and Martin ´Axe´ Axenrot, and guitarist Per ´Sodomizer´ Eriksson have chosen BLOODSTOCK as their debut UK performance, and their only show on these shores in 2010. Says guitarist Anders ´Blakkheim´ Nystrom: "A bloodbath over Bloodstock! What could be a better way to celebrate this mighty festival's 10th year anniversary! It will be our first time on UK soil and it will be happening on Friday the 13th, so it seems we get to kill two birds with one stone!" BLOODBATH formed in 1998, releasing their first EP “Breeding Death” via Century Media in 2000, subsequently releasing three full length albums over the course of the decade. Predominantly a studio band, BLOODBATH have only ever played three shows since their formation, and only one outside of their home country, at Wacken festival in 2005. It doesn't get much more exclusive than this, and BLOODSTOCK is proud to welcome BLOODBATH to the UK for what will be a history making set of death metal magic. Legendary Black Metallers GORGOROTH will also join the line up at BOA 2010, marking the first ever UK festival performance for the Norwegians. Many prominent musicians from the Black Metal scene have performed under the GORGOROTH banner since their formation, with controversy remaining a constant wherever they showed up. After a bitter battle with former members to re-established the true rights of the GORGOROTH name, founder INFERNUS now returns with former band members PEST and TORMENTOR to cast a black cloud over Catton Hall for a set of the blackest of metal. With a reputation for highly visual and provocative live shows, their set at BOA 2010 is not to be missed. Lastly, BLACK SPIDERS have been confirmed for Bloodstock 2010. These English hard rockers have been earning rave reviews across the music press, earning them the main support slot to Aussie-Rockers AIRBOURNE this coming March. Says guitarist/frontman Pete Spiby "We feel absolutely delighted to be added to the Bloodstock festival bill. It's a honour to be part of a festival that has the words 'blood' AND 'stock' in it. Speaking of which we'll be bringing lashings of gravy to the proceedings .......Quo, Heep, Saxon, Motorhead, and you can quote me on that...." In other news, DREAM EVIL have been forced to pull out of the festival. “We were really looking forward to come back to blast the Bloodstock stage again” says the band. “We had so much fun when we were last there, but sadly, we are not going to be able to do the show because of personal commitments” The BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR METAL FESTIVAL 2010 will take place at Catton Hall, Derbyshire from 13th – 15th August.
