Thursday, June 28. 2007BLOODSTOCK WILL NOT RELEASE DAY TICKETS !! For the past few weeks we have been receiving emails from Bloodstock fans asking if and when day tickets will be released for this years Bloodstock Open Air Metal Festival. We were undecided whether or not to release day tickets as we have capped this year’s attendance at 7000, but due to the large number of tickets already sold for this years Bloodstock Open Air Metal Festival, we will NOT be releasing day tickets. We have always aimed to have a Metal Festival that offers superb bands, great atmosphere and does not cost the earth, with this years festival being held over three days and showcasing some of the BEST metal bands to date we know we have THE Best Metal Festival in the UK! Due to the low ticket price and huge exposure the festival has been receiving from fans, media and bands alike the tickets have been selling at record levels this YEAR . If you are still to buy your ticket we urge all fans to act sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. Vicky Gregory Bloodstock Team Tuesday, June 19. 2007Mobile proves just the ticket for Bloodstock Mobile proves just the ticket for Bloodstock Metal festival goers amongst the first in the UK to use mobile ticketingMetal fans planning to go to Bloodstock Open Air, the UK’s premiere independent metal music festival, will be amongst the first festival goers in the UK to be able to receive tickets for the event on their mobile phones. To buy mobile tickets for the three day event music fans simply log on to new mobile ticketing website www.tixmob.com and pay for their tickets using a credit or debit card. Tickets are delivered direct to your mobile phone at the time and date you specify. Bloodstock is the first metal event to use mobile ticketing and with only 7,000 tickets going on sale Bloodstock organisors hope the new mobile tickets will enable true music fans to buy tickets by avoiding the professional touting that has blighted other music festivals. Festival goers can choose to receive all tickets on one phone or, for those buying multiple tickets, to have them delivered direct to their friends’ mobiles. Unlike traditional ticketing services tixmob charges no admin, processing or delivery fee so the price you see is the price you pay and tickets will be available right up until the final minutes before the event starts. Paul Gregory, Organiser, Bloodstock, “We are encouraging metal fans to use the tixmob website to buy tickets. Its secure, reliable, and avoids the traditional costs of using a third party ticketing so we can plough more money into making Bloodstock an even greater event.” Ramesh Kumar, business development director, tixmob added “Having fun shouldn’t be hard work so we set up tixmob to provide easy, reliable and affordable access to gigs and events. We redeem more tickets than any other company in the world so this is an obvious next step for us,” “By using secure, proven technology we can keep costs low so anybody from an aspiring promoter or band right up to a sell out stadium tour can afford to use the tixmob technology.” Tixmob’s parent company ActiveMedia Technology powers the Orange Wednesday two-for-one cinema tickets offer and provided mobile ticketing and couponing for Virgin Mobile, British Airways and Ministry of Sound. Bloodstock Open Air runs from August 16th-18th, Catton Hall Derby.
