
Official Guitar Hero Competition Rules
By entering the Bloodstock Open Air 2008 Guitar Hero 3 Championship you (or, if a minor in your state/province of residence, your parent or legal guardian) agree to abide by these Official Rules and any other terms and conditions referenced in these Official Guitar Hero Competition Rules.
1. Eligibility
This Competition is open to any legal residents of the United Kingdom If under 16 years of age then with parental / Guardian approval Employees of Bloodstock Festival ltd./ Amust4music Ltd. and any person engaged to work on this promotional program and their respective affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies and each of their immediate family members (including mother, father, sister, brother, child, husband or wife) and those living in their households are not eligible to enter or win.
2. Promotion Period
This Promotion begins 02 April 2008 and ends on 17 August 2008 (“Promotion Period”)
3. How To Enter
There are two ways to enter: online or via Mobile Phone text (via Tixmob - Mobile rates apply).
Guitar Hero Journey A
1. Text in GUITARHERO to 60300
2. Consumer receives a return message with a list of the Events with codes alongside.
3. Consumer texts in the GUITARHERO with the code of the event to buy a ticket, e.g. GUITARHERO 4
4. Consumer receives a mobile ticket on their phone with a Guitar Hero 3 PIN number. They will also receive a payment confirmation text on their phone.
5. At the entry gate, the PIN number is validated on a PDA scanner.

Guitar Hero Journey B
1. Consumer goes online to http://guitarhero.tixmob.com
2 Consumer goes through the online journey to purchase a ticket (or multiple tickets) using debit card/credit card
3. Consumer receives a mobile ticket with Guitar Hero 3 ticket PIN number.
4. At the entry gate, the PIN number is validated on a PDA scanner.
Entry Limit: Limit one (1) entry per person during the Promotion Period, regardless of entry method. Entries from the same individual or e-mail or household address received in excess of the limits stated herein will be automatically disqualified. There may be reason to restrict the number of entries into the final weekend competition and these will be determined by high score achievement.
4. Regional Heats
There will be a series of regional heats held at various venues throughout the UK where you will be able to compete for your place at the final. You must compete regionally before final selection can be made and there is no shortcut process in place, a list of regional venues will be published ongoing at www.bloodstock.uk.com and then follow the Guitar Hero 3 links.
5. Winner Selection / Prizes
Each heat finalist will receive an Xbox 360 Guitar Hero game including Wireless Guitar, Two (2) VIP 2008 Bloodstock tickets, Entry to the BOA Guitar Hero 3 Championship final and a Bloodstock Goody bag (Collected on the weekend of the final).
Three (3) Runners up prizes will be available of Two (2) pairs of Bloodstock Open Air Festival tickets with 25% discount on Bloodstock Merchandise at the 2008 festival .
Final Competition prizes are as follows:
Grand Final Winner will receive a trophy stating there achievement, An Xbox 360, Guitar Hero 3 game including Wireless Guitar, a selection of 5 Game titles for the Xbox 360 console, 4 VIP tickets to Bloodstock Open Air 2009, a Bloodstock goody pack, the opportunity to play on stage in the Guitar Hero tent with a live band performing 2 tracks from Guitar Hero 3 in front of a live audience. Be immortalised by appearing in the 2009 program as the 2008 Champion and the man or woman to beat.
5 runners up prizes of Xbox 360 Elite (Black in colour) and Guitar Hero 3 Games including Wireless Guitar.
There will be 5 Monthly Competition Prizes of an Xbox 360 with Guitar Hero 3 Game including Wireless Guitar subject to correct answer to monthly competition be drawn at the discretion of Bloodstock management team and awarded monthly to each month's winner.
All random drawings will be conducted under the supervision of Sponsor, whose decisions are final. Odds of winning Prize Package depend on the number of eligible entries received. Odds of being selected as the Grand Prize winner depend on the ability of each competing contestant.
Prizes are not redeemable for cash. No substitution, transfer, or assignment of prize permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event an offered prize is unavailable. Taxes on the prizes are solely the responsibility of the winner. Any and all guarantees and warranties for merchandise prizes are subject to the manufacturer's terms and conditions, and winners agree to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty or guarantee claim.
5. General Conditions
Entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Competition. This Competition is governed by the laws of the United Kingdom . All federal, provincial, state and local laws and regulations apply. Winners will be notified within seven (7) days after the drawing date via the contact information provided at time of entry, and may be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release within seven (7) days following the date of attempted notification. Return of any prize / prize notification as undeliverable or failure to accept prize within the specified time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Entrants further grant to Sponsor the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print in any other media in connection with the competition. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use winner's names and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Sponsor, its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this competition or any prize won.
6. Internet
If for any reason the Internet portion of this competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this competition, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this competition. Bloodstock (Amust4music Ltd.) is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by Bloodstock (Amust4music Ltd.) on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this competition. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS COMPETITION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Entries made by Internet will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.
