London's Amulet formed in 2010 with the simple aim of
creating powerful and honest heavy metal. The five piece's sound is inspired by
the classic heavy rock and metal era of 1970-1985. A mutual love of NWOBHM and
heavy music with that raw feel has aided the band to naturally forge their own
sound that sits somewhere after Sabbath but before Metallica and co. Amulet
capture the rough edged attack and songwriting focus of this peak heavy metal
period. The band believe in putting on an impressive live show with a graveyard
set and The Hangman can often been seen stalking the dark corners of the stage.
The four track 'Cut the Crap' demo was self released on 222
tapes, well received and sold out in 2011. In 2012 Mordgrimm Records
re-released it as a vinyl EP limited to 500 copies which has also sold out. The
band have proudly shared stages with Angel Witch, Manilla Road, The Sword,
Cauldron, Enforcer, Holocaust and have already played some great shows in
Norway, Sweden and Germany. A full album is due at the end of 2013.
"Influenced by 70's Heavy Rock and early NWOBHM, Amulet
fuse awesome riffs, melodic vocals and pounding bass into 'Cut the Crap' a
molten metal masterpiece!" Mordgrimm Records
"Evoking the eerie heaviness of Black Sabbath,
Londoners Amulet play classic, doomy metal the way it was meant." Metal
Hammer
