As for my local team, we were knocked out by some faggy Steel poverty people. They were distracted by Sean Bean flopping his penis about while shrieking "I WAS IN LORD OF THE RINGS YOU KNOW!!!!!11" I suspect I should be defending the honour of my hometown here, but that was far too funny Fjar wrote: These are awesome. one of my old lecturers has a wiki page. It basically consists of "Bill Rubinstein is ridiculously Jewish. He writes books about Jews and rich people".

Apparently, when the French word 'count', as in the title of a nobleman, came to England, the natives were embarrassed to use it because it sounds like . . . you know what!

That's quite the story! Although I can't for the life of me work out where her legs even go in that second picture!

Re: What Blew Your Mind Today?
My dad resolved something about the LOTR films this morning that has been bugging me for as long as I've been watching them. It's not an error, it's just bizarre pronunciation of the correct name. Phew (WBMMT is that it took this long for me to sort this out small things bug me!)

Well, now it's bugging me what it was, so please tell! Oh lord, you're going to make me prove exactly how much of a nerd I am aren't you? Well, Galadriel gives them all gifts in Lorien and gives Frodo the vial of starlight, saying "I give you the light of -thing-, our most beloved star" Because of the bizarre way she pronounced it, I thought she was saying "Elendil", which was nonsense and I couldn't believe they'd realistically have put that in there. Turns out she's saying "Earendil", the mariner from the Silmarillion, which makes a heck of a lot more sense. How she manages to pronounce it as if the "r" is an "l" I'll never know
